In the age of social media, it’s only natural to want to look your best 24/7, which is why Juvéderm’s collection of facial fillers now treat everything from hollow temples to bumpy nose bridges (step forward the ‘15-minute nose job’).
and use of fillers to correct dark under-eye circles have become particularly popular: ‘The under-eye area begins to change [with age], leaving us with hollowing, puffiness and dark circles,’  ‘When supersoft, sophisticated fillers are injected lightly under the skin in the tear trough, the treatment replaces the fat pads and revitalises those hollows and circles to reverse signs of tiredness.’* It’s a result that Natasha Hooper  a 23-yearold student from London, can attest to. She had fillers under her eyes 12 months ago and tells Marie Claire: ‘I wanted to decrease the puffiness and bags under my eyes so that I looked more “awake” and read that fillers could help. I spent time really researching the treatment before
I booked it. But since having the fillers, I’ve had lots of compliments from friends and family who say I look fresh without make-up now. There’s no need for me to use concealer or expensive eye creams to cover up the dark areas – the fillers have achieved the look that

I wanted, while still looking natural and subtle.’ Indeed, for medical aesthetic practitioners, enhancing a client’s natural beauty is always the primary objective. ‘At the first consultation, it is so important to understand each patient’s individual character,’ says expert surgeon and global beauty lecturer Dr Jonquille Chantrey.
‘I like to learn which parts of their face they would like to project and which they prefer to conceal, also how they like to use make-up to highlight and contour, or to enhance their features. That combined with my assessment of their facial proportions and expressions allows me to work with them on a treatment plan. That way, I can improve their features in a way that suits both their face and their style and give them the impact that they desire. Many patients show me how they edit their pictures to enhance their look, so I know the look they want to achieve.’ Natasha describes the overall experience as empowering, adding: ‘When I first announced that I was going to have facial fillers, I got a really mixed response from friends and family. But having the procedure has made me realise how important it is to feel comfortable in your own skin – I love the results and the fillers have given my confidence a boost
